San Diego.
Sadly, this trip was taken towards the end of last year.
Nonetheless, Kristoffer and I enjoyed being able to stay the night less than 10 feet away from the beach.
During this trip, Kristoffer and I had both been working hectic schedules and barley had any time for each other, so this trip was much needed.
We started off the trip by getting pizza and watching reruns of Jurassic Park.
The next day we woke up early, went to Starbucks and headed back to the beach.
Originally, we were just going to sit down and watch the sunrise, but it was too gloomy so there was so sunrise.
We decided to start walking towards the pier, when we got there we saw that there was a surfing competition taking place so ended up watching it.
After a while we walked back to the beach house and got ready for our day.
We had originally planned on staying the whole weekend, but ended up being there one day.
We planned the day and got started.
Our first stop was at a bridge that connected two streets.
It was made way back in the day to allow people to get across with their horses.
It was pretty nerve wrecking because while walking on the bridge, you actually see it move side to side.
Not to mention, you're probably a little over a 100 feet away from ground.
Second stop was at Balboa Park.
We walked around and admired the diversity around the park.
We walked into a botanical garden, which was breath taking, but after that we were starving so we were ready to eat.
While we were walking out we saw a guy with snakes and of course my husband had to go over there and talk to the guy.
When we got to the guy, he persuaded Kristoffer to touch the snake.
Not only did he touch it, he put it on around his neck. I would be lying if I said I didn't have a mini heart attack.
The guy tried talking me into putting the snake around my neck, I passed the offer in a heartbeat. HAHA.
After we had enough of that, we headed to stop number 3.
If you're ever in San Diego... you MUST try Phil's BBQ.
It's honestly, BETTER than Lucilles AND cheaper.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to take a picture of what I got (I was too hungry to even take a picture), but here are the pictures I did get to take.
Enjoy!
